About spondyloarthritis (SpA):
Spondyloarthritis is a group of diseases characterized by chronic inflammation of the pelvic joints and spine. Often, it is accompanied by arthritis in other joints. Spondyloarthritis affects at least the same number of Canadians as rheumatoid arthritis (1 in 100 people). Until recently, SpA was not well recognized and was under-researched in Canada.
