In this episode of Arthritis At Home, we are sharing the #CRArthritis interview Arthritis Broadcast Network (ABN) conducted with Dr. Carl Laskin, Managing Director of TRIO Fertility in Toronto, on key factors that patients with rheumatic disease should consider when thinking about pregnancy and why it is important to have transparent and open conversations about pregnancy with your rheumatologist early on. Dr. Laskin also shares his advice for women with rheumatic disease who are currently thinking about starting a family.

Dr. Carl Laskin has been at the University of Toronto in the Division of Rheumatology in the Department of Medicine since 1983. He was cross appointed to the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology in 1987. Subsequently, he was appointed to the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility. Dr. Laskin continues to be actively involved in clinical research dealing with recurrent miscarriage; reproductive medicine in women and men with rheumatic diseases including infertility and pregnancy. He is a frequent speaker at international and national meetings in both rheumatology and obstetrics & gynecology.
