In this web workshop, Dr. Tucker:
- Discusses the types of arthritis children get
- Dispels some of the myths about childhood arthritis
- Explains how JIA is diagnosed and why it is important to treat the disease immediately
- Lists the medications that are prescribed to treat arthritis in children
- Describes the transition in care for an adolescent with arthritis entering into adulthood
- Explains the differences between childhood and adult onset arthritis and the differences in treatment
- Provides information on how and what resources kids and parents can access to help them cope with JIA
