In this episode of Arthritis At Home, Ellen Wang, Programs Coordinator, Arthritis Consumer Experts, speaks to Dr. Matthew Teeter, Associate Professor, Departments of Medical Biophysics, Medical Imaging, and Surgery, Western University, Ontario. Dr. Teeter leads a research program that aims to enhance patient mobility and quality of life after joint replacement surgery through the development and application of medical imaging and digital technologies. More recently, he won the Stars Career Development award from Arthritis Society of Canada to examine the role of gut bacteria post-joint replacement surgery. Together, they discuss what gut bacteria is, how it can be examined using imaging technology, and how it can affect outcomes for patients.
